We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Finance Administrator to join our fantastic central team at Prospere Learning Trust.
This is a 18-month fixed-term contract, working 35 hours per week. The starting salary is £25,583 per annum (Grade 3). The expected start date is as soon as preemployment check are complete, ideally September 2026.
About the role:
As an Apprentice Finance Administrator within our Central Finance Team, you will work closely with the Finance Administrators, Finance Manager and Senior Finance Administrator to deliver high-quality financial administration across the Trust. You will play a key role in ensuring finance transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with Trust financial regulations, procedures and best practice.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Good numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
A commitment to achieving a professional finance qualification through the apprenticeship programme.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Finance Team with the accurate processing of day-to-day financial transactions.
Maintaining and updating financial records and systems.
Raising purchase orders and processing invoices in line with the Trust's financial procedures.
Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies.
Processing procurement card orders and supporting sales invoice processing.
Posting income transactions to the finance ledger.
Using the Trust's finance system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Ensuring financial records are maintained in accordance with Trust policies and financial regulations.
Supporting the Finance Manager and wider finance team with projects and administrative activities as required.
Completing all apprenticeship training, assignments and assessments to achieve the apprenticeship standard.
