Night Shift: 9:00pm – 7:30am
About the Role
The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting Nighttime Child Support Workers for opportunities in the Newtownards area.
This is a rewarding role supporting children and young people aged 7 to 18 years within a professional care setting. The successful candidates will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred support throughout the night, helping to promote the wellbeing and welfare of the children and young people in their care.
The positions offer negotiable weekly hours , with shifts available across Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Providing appropriate care and support to children and young people during nighttime hours
- Supporting the safety, wellbeing and individual needs of children and young people
- Responding appropriately to situations that may arise throughout the night
- Applying a trauma-informed approach when providing support
- Building positive and professional relationships with children and young people
- Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and other professionals
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational procedures
- Supporting the wider care team to provide a safe and supportive environment
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Be NISCC registered
- Have previous professional experience working with children aged 7 to 18 years
- Have an understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Possess basic IT skills
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence with no restrictions
- Be available to work night shifts from 9:00pm to 7:30am

- Shift Days: Monday – Sunday
- Shift Times: 9:00pm – 7:30am
- Minimum Hours per Week: Negotiable
- Start Date: Immediate
