Trainee Opportunity – Launch Your Accountancy Career

As an Accounts Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training and practical experience while supporting our accounts teams across a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be involved in all aspects of accounts preparation while working alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to your development.

Main Responsibilities and Key Duties – Graduate Trainee Accounting

Supporting preparation of financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards and company law.

• Carrying out bookkeeping and financial analysis under guidance.

• Working with our experienced team on client queries and helping to offer tailored solutions.

• Building your knowledge of relevant accounting systems and software used within the firm.

• Embracing opportunities to work as part of project teams on ad hoc assignments.

• Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all work, adhering to company processes and quality standards.

Essential Skills and Experience – Accountancy Trainee Requirements

• Work Experience: Ideally 1-2 years of work experience but this is not a necessity

• Education: A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades 9-4 or A*-C) including Maths and English, and ideally A-Levels or equivalent.

• Interest in Accountancy: Genuine desire to pursue a career in accounts, and finance with a focus on progressing through professional qualifications.

• Analytical and Numerical Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers and data.

• Communication: Confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and build relationships with clients.

• Organisation and Time Management: Ability to manage ‐ time effectively and meet deadlines across multiple assignments.

• IT Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; any experience with accounting software is advantageous but not essential.

• Teamwork: Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive, flexible approach.
