Performing Arts Technician | Newham (Outstanding Secondary)
£29k - £33.5k per annumWe are working with an "Outstanding" secondary academy in Newham recruiting for a dynamic and creative Performing Arts Technician. This is a pivotal role in a school where the arts are highly valued and celebrated by the whole community.
About the Role This full-time, permanent position is designed for a technician who is passionate about lighting design and sound engineering. You will be responsible for the technical delivery of GCSE and A-Level drama assessments, as well as large-scale musical productions and dance showcases. The role offers the chance to work with modern equipment and contribute to the creative vision of a high-performing department.

Responsibilities
Rig, plot, and program lighting needs for drama exams and school concerts using industry-standard lighting desks.
Ensure all AV, sound, and power requirements are met for a variety of school activities, from assemblies to evening performances.
Maintain the school’s technical production equipment inventory, reporting to the Head of Drama regarding asset tracking and servicing.
Assist with the production of web-based recordings and promotional media for the performing arts department.
Requirements
Previous experience as a technician or experience working within a classroom setting.
Right to work in the UK and a valid enhanced DBS.
Salary £29,000 – £33,500 per annum.
