Teacher of English - Secondary School - Derbyshire
A well-regarded secondary school in Derbyshire is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of English to join its committed English department. About the Role
As Teacher of English , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience. You will deliver well-structured lessons that develop:
Strong reading comprehension and analytical skills
Confident extended writing through modelling and structured practice
Secure vocabulary, grammar and sentence fluency
Exam confidence through deliberate practice, feedback and clear routines
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to plan effectively, share resources and maintain high expectations for all learners.
The English Department
The English department is supportive and well organised, with consistent approaches to curriculum, assessment and GCSE preparation. The team values strong routines, clear modelling and a focus on literacy that helps pupils succeed across the curriculum.

Start Date: ASAP / next term (or by agreement)
Contract: Full-time, permanent (or as agreed)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
