Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently supporting a business based in Gloucester who are needing an Interim Accounts Assistant to join their friendly, busy and supportive team on a basis of 2-3 months.
This assignment has free parking and hybrid working options available.
Location: Gloucester
Contract: 2-3 months
Money: £30,000 - £35,000
Working pattern: Office-based initially, with then hybrid option of 3 days per week in the office
The Role
You'll play a key role in supporting the finance function, responsible for weekly payroll processing and the day-to-day management of the accounts payable function.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll
- Manage manual timesheets, ensuring hours are accurately allocated
- Process employee expenses
- Maintain the accounts payable inbox
- Ensure invoices are allocated to the correct approvers
- Prepare supplier payment runs
- Manage Subcontractor ledger including CIS
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in payroll administration and accounts payable/invoice processing
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The confidence to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Desirable
- Experience within the construction industry
