Transport Coordinator

StaffCo are recruiting for a Transport Adminstrator for our client based in Portbury. Previous experience of working in a similar role would be an advantage. If you want to work with a great team with one of the leading transport companies in the UK this is the role for you.

The Role

* Front line management of Drivers
* Supporting customer services
* Liasing with other depots
* Dispatching & Debreifing drivers
* Data Entry onto Excel spreadsheets
* Downloading drivers' cards/tachographs
* General office duties

Required Experience

* An understanding of IT.
* Be organised and able to prioritise
* Home delivery experience would be advantageous
* Ability to communicate effectively

Key Skills

* Work well under pressure.
* Experienced with Microsoft Office, in particular excel & outlook.
* An understanding of transport systems Flexipod, Vision, Telematics would be an advantage but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills.

Key Attributes

* Flexible, adaptable, and able to think rationally under pressure.
* Previous experience in the logistics sector an advantage but not essential.
* Flexible, versatile.

It may be a requirement of the job role to be involved within meetings and projects from time to time.

You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.

Working Hrs & Pay

* Rotating shifts 04:30 - 13:00 and 12:30 - 21:00
* Working 5 days from 6 - Mon to Sat.
* Pay £14.33 paye plus holiday pay or £16.05 Including holiday pay
* Temp to Perm & Temporary vacancies available
