HLTA & SEN Teaching Assistants Required – September 2026 Starts
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Job Types: Full-Time & Part-Time
Salary: £95–£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Smile Education is recruiting experienced and dedicated education professionals to join a number of welcoming primary schools across Stockton-on-Tees for September 2026 .
We have the following vacancies available:
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Year 2 (Full-Time)
- SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
- SEN Teaching Assistant – Mornings Only
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A recognised HLTA qualification (for the HLTA role) or relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications and experience.
- A minimum of 6 months' UK school experience .
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) .
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- A positive, proactive, and child-centred approach.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service .
- The right to work in the UK.
- Two years of professional references, including experience working with children.
- Availability to start in September 2026 .
- Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for these positions.
- Competitive daily rates of £95–£110 , depending on experience.
- Weekly pay.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities.
