Our client is a Top Ten accountancy firm in the UK and is the leading and largest SME practice. They seek a Corporate Tax Senior or Assistant Manager. In this role, you will oversee mainly OMB and some larger PLC clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services. You will deal with a range of businesses in a wide variety of industries. Reporting to Managers and Senior Managers, you will help them with research for advisory work and will work on projects such as M&A transactions or shareholder tax planning. You will also manage the compliance for your portfolio and will supervise more junior staff. You’ll be actively involved in client contact and contact with HMRC from day one. Could suit someone from a larger firm looking for more client contact and portfolio responsibility.
This role is based in central Manchester, and our client would prefer a full-time candidate although they would consider part-time, e.g. 4-day week. This role can be hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in the office. Ideally, you will have a professional qualification, e.g. ATT, CTA or ACCA (or part qualified) and will have experience in corporate tax or mixed tax within a practice environment. Study support available for part-qualified or those looking to do a second qualification.
