Fundraising Executive
Role: Fundraising Executive – Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Aberdeen (with flexibility for occasional hybrid working)
About the Role
We are seeking a talented, confident and motivated Fundraising Executive to join a growing fundraising team within a well-established charitable organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role across corporate partnerships, trust fundraising and community engagement while contributing to projects that have a meaningful social impact.
You’ll be working closely with the Fundraising Manager and wider fundraising team, you will manage corporate relationships, oversee a corporate volunteering programme, research funding opportunities, prepare compelling grant applications and reports, and support fundraising events and PR activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage strong corporate and funder relationships.
- Research funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline.
- Write bids, proposals and impact reports.
- Deliver corporate volunteering and attend networking events.
- Support fundraising events, PR and communications.
- Maintain CRM records and ensure accurate reporting.
- Work with colleagues to gather case studies and impact data.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice.
About You:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a role requiring excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality written content.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and CRM systems.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
Desirable:
- Previous fundraising experience.
- Experience writing successful funding applications and reports.
- Knowledge of charitable trusts and grant funding.
- Knowledge of the third sector, particularly social care, education or learning disability services.
