An exciting opportunity for a full-time grade 5 role has arisen within the Exchequer Services to join the Data Management team as a Finance officer.
It is a busy and challenging role that involves, but not limited to: maintaining vendor master records to a high standard, dealing with all aspects of SAP Workflow including purchase order queries, managing a portfolio of lodge card suppliers, investigating issues to find resolutions, processing taxi and retirement journals, and producing ad hoc management financial reports. The role is pivotal in making sure that Manchester City Council pays its suppliers timely to maintain good working relationship.About the Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who can show the following skills and experience:
- Excellent IT skills and ability to extensively use financial systems
- Ability to work to deadlines and on multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills including relaying financial information or vendor details to colleagues across the organisation
- Ability to detect and prevent fraudulent activity
- Strong analytical skills
- Personal Commitment to continuous self development and service improvement
