The Role

As an Art Teacher, you will be a key driver of creativity across the school. You will deliver high-quality, practical lessons across KS3 and KS4 , with the opportunity to lead A-Level Fine Art or Graphic Communication for a candidate with a strong portfolio and post-16 experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Skill Development: Teaching a diverse range of disciplines, including drawing, painting, printmaking, and 3D sculpture.

• Ceramic Excellence: Leveraging Stoke’s local identity by incorporating clay work and pottery into the curriculum.

• Digital Integration: Introducing students to digital art suites and photography to broaden their creative toolkit.

• Exhibition Management: Organizing internal school galleries and community showcases to celebrate student work.

• Portfolio Guidance: Supporting GCSE and A-Level students in developing high-level sketchbooks and final pieces for moderation.

About You

We are looking for a practitioner who is as comfortable with a palette knife as they are with a progress tracker.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a relevant degree in Fine Art, Design, or a related field.

• Possesses a diverse personal portfolio and a deep knowledge of Art History.

• Has a proven track record of helping students achieve high grades in AQA or Eduqas specifications.

• Is an effective communicator who can foster a calm, inspiring, and inclusive studio environment.
