This optical multiple operates a national network of practices, with a clinical lead for each region and a structured training route from optical assistant to dispensing optician. Many of its dispensing opticians and practice managers began their careers as assistants.
The Position
You will join a busy Lincoln practice as a full time Optical Assistant, welcoming patients, booking appointments and helping customers choose frames and lenses. Pre-tests are part of the day, with the practice’s optometrists and dispensing opticians always on hand to teach and support you. Lincoln’s cathedral, castle and Steep Hill are on your doorstep, with the Lincolnshire Wolds nearby and a lower cost of living than much of the country. This suits someone with optical or retail experience who is keen to train as a dispensing optician. The salary is £27,500-£32,500, depending on experience.
