Our client is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join a highly successful secondary school in the London Borough of Southwark. This is a full-time position beginning in April 2026 , overseeing finance, operations, HR and strategic business management across the school.
School Business Manager required on a full-time basis
Ofsted Outstanding secondary school with excellent leadership and strong outcomes
Senior leadership role overseeing finance, HR, estates and operations
Supportive leadership team and well-organised administrative structure
The successful School Business Manager will play a key strategic role in supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for financial planning, resource management, compliance and operational oversight, ensuring the school’s systems support high standards of education and student wellbeing.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established leadership team within a high-performing school where professional expertise and collaborative working are highly valued.

Experience and Qualifications
• Proven experience working as a School Business Manager or senior school operations professional
• Strong knowledge of school finance, budgeting and financial planning
• Experience overseeing HR, estates, health & safety and compliance
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Legal ability to work within the UK
