Head of Creative
Location: Solihull, UK
Role Overview
Indigo Lune is one of the UK’s fastest-growing jewellery brands and we’re looking for an experienced, creatively driven Head of Creative to lead our growing creative team.
Working closely with the Chief Brand Officer, you’ll be responsible for translating Indigo Lune’s wider brand vision into a clear and compelling creative direction across campaigns, social, paid media, website, email and product launches.
This is a highly creative but hands-on leadership role. You’ll lead the development of campaign concepts, oversee shoots and content production, set the standard for creative output and manage the day-to-day priorities and development of the creative team.
You’ll have a strong instinct for what makes beautiful, culturally relevant and commercially effective content, while also having the organisational skills to turn ambitious ideas into campaigns that are delivered brilliantly and on time.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading Creative Direction
- Translate the Chief Brand Officers wider brand vision into creative concepts, campaigns and content strategies.
- Lead the creative direction for seasonal campaigns, product launches and key brand moments.
- Develop concepts, mood boards and visual direction for campaigns and shoots.
- Establish how campaigns come to life across social, paid media, website, email and other customer touchpoints.
- Continually evolve Indigo Lune’s creative output while maintaining a distinctive and recognisable brand identity.
- Bring new ideas, references and creative thinking into the business, keeping Indigo Lune culturally relevant and ahead of trends.
Owning Campaigns & Content
- Take ownership of creative campaigns from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Define the content requirements and deliverables for launches, campaigns and key trading moments.
- Oversee the creative calendar and ensure the team is focused on the right priorities.
- Ensure creative ideas are both visually strong and aligned with wider brand and commercial objectives.
- Work closely with Brand, Marketing, Social, Performance and E-commerce teams to ensure creative supports wider business goals.
Leading Shoots & Production
- Lead the creative direction of campaign, e-commerce, social and location shoots.
- Develop shoot concepts, mood boards, shot lists and overall visual direction.
- Oversee casting, locations, styling, props and other creative production decisions.
- Direct photographers, videographers, models and other external creatives on set.
- Ensure shoots capture everything required across organic, paid, website, email and wider marketing channels.
- Oversee post-production and select imagery, edits and final assets.
Leading the Creative Team
- Lead, support and develop the creative team, including Senior and Junior Creatives.
- Set clear priorities, responsibilities and expectations across the department.
- Delegate projects effectively based on team strengths, workload and development opportunities.
- Review work and provide clear, constructive creative feedback.
- Mentor team members and help develop their creative judgement, technical skills and confidence.
- Identify resource or capability gaps and support hiring and freelance requirements where needed.
- Create a collaborative environment where the team feels empowered to bring forward strong ideas.
Protecting & Evolving the Indigo Lune Brand
- Own the consistency and quality of Indigo Lune’s visual creative output.
- Ensure every customer-facing creative asset feels recognisably Indigo Lune.
- Maintain a high standard across photography, video, graphics, social content and campaign execution.
- Review and approve key creative work before it goes live.
- Develop creative guidelines and principles that allow the brand to scale while remaining consistent.
- Balance consistency with experimentation, ensuring the brand continues to feel fresh and relevant.
Improving Creative Operations
- Own the overall creative workflow and ensure projects move efficiently from brief to delivery.
- Establish clear processes for briefing, feedback, approvals and asset delivery.
- Oversee creative project planning and resource allocation.
- Anticipate upcoming content requirements and production needs.
- Identify opportunities to make the creative team faster, more organised and more effective.
- Ensure the department can support the increasing creative demands of a rapidly growing brand.
What Success Looks Like
- Indigo Lune has a distinctive, recognisable and continually evolving creative identity.
- Campaigns and product launches have strong creative concepts and are executed consistently across every channel.
- Creative projects are well planned, prioritised and delivered on time.
- The creative team has clear direction, strong leadership and opportunities to develop.
- Shoots are creatively ambitious while remaining organised and commercially effective.
- Creative output consistently meets a high standard across organic, paid, website, email and wider brand activity.
- The creative department is structured and scalable as Indigo Lune continues to grow.
You bring exceptional creative judgement, strong leadership and the ability to turn ambitious ideas into beautifully executed campaigns. We know that people aren’t a wish list of technologies or a number of years’ experience, so we won’t include them here – if you are excited by this role, please get in touch and introduce yourself! You never know, your dream role may be just what we need.
