Locum Senior Commercial Property Lawyer – Full Time – Hybrid Working – Up to GBP60 per hour umbrella – South East Local Authority

Venn Group's specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Property Lawyer to join a well–regarded Local Authority on an interim basis, offering an exciting opportunity to support a busy and established Local Government legal team.

Role Details:

Position: Locum Senior Commercial Property Lawyer

Working Arrangement: Full Time, monthly office attendance

Duration: Initial 3+ months with the possibility for extension

Rate: Up to GBP60 per hour umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting, negotiating, and completing commercial leases with charities with complex service change and rent review arrangements for a newly refurbished multi–let buildings
• Deal with reports on title for registered and unregistered property
• Handle high–value purchases of commercial properties
• Deal with leases of reversion with complex rent arrangements
• Manage wayleaves, licences to alter (major and minor works), deeds of dedication, deeds of covenant and easements

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience of Commercial Property Law
• Experience working within Local Government or the Public Sector is highly desirable
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and teams
