A well-regarded secondary school in Kingston is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Science Technician to join their successful Science Department.
About the School
This is a co-educational, 11 to 16, Outstanding rated school (Ofsted) in Kingston. The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and a supportive, collaborative environment. The Science Department is well-equipped, innovative, and committed to engaging students through practical, hands-on science.
The Role
As a Science Technician, you will:
- Prepare and set up materials, equipment, and experiments for science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Ensure laboratories are clean, safe, and well-organised.
- Maintain and store equipment and chemicals safely in line with health and safety regulations.
- Support teachers and students during practical lessons.
- Assist with stock management and ordering supplies.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working in a school science department or a relevant laboratory setting.
- Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills.
- Has an outstanding understanding of laboratory safety and handling of scientific equipment.
