Nursery Room Leader

Protocol Education is working with a welcoming and well-established nursery in Bath seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join their team.

This role is perfect for an ambitious Early Years professional who is ready to step into a leadership position where they can influence practice, support colleagues, and create exceptional learning experiences for young children.

As a Room Leader, you'll be at the heart of the nursery, guiding your team, inspiring best practice, and ensuring every child receives the nurturing support they need to flourish.

Your Leadership Role

As Room Leader, you'll take ownership of your nursery room, leading by example and creating a positive culture where children and practitioners can thrive.

You'll be responsible for:

Leading and motivating a team of Early Years Practitioners

Planning and overseeing engaging EYFS learning experiences

Supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing

Monitoring progress and ensuring high-quality observations and assessments

Building strong partnerships with parents and carers

️ Maintaining outstanding safeguarding and welfare standards

✨ Creating an organised, stimulating, and inclusive environment

Driving high standards of practice across your room

We're Looking For a Leader Who...

✅ Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

✅ Has experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting

✅ Is confident leading a team and supporting staff development

✅ Has a thorough understanding of the EYFS framework

✅ Communicates effectively with children, families, and colleagues

✅ Is proactive, organised, and solution-focused

✅ Leads with warmth, positivity, and professionalism

What we need to clear you:

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• Two years of references, including recent childcare experience where applicable
• Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more in the past 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
