Female PE Teacher - High-Achieving Secondary School in...
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Paid to scale
The Role
A high-achieving Secondary School in Solihull is seeking a professional, highly driven, and exceptionally organised Female Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join their experienced and successful sports faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-structured and supportive school environment where PE is heavily celebrated, backed by state-of-the-art gym facilities, fitness suites, and extensive playing fields.
Note: Due to nature of the provisions of this role, including supervising female changing environments and leading gender-specific practical modules, this post has an occupational requirement for the successful applicant to be female.
The successful candidate will deliver a dynamic and challenging timetable across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, splitting instructional focus between competitive physical literacy modules and academic exam preparation. You will lead theory classes in health and performance optimization, energy systems, and sociocultural influences in sport, while managing student progress logs, updating school compliance tracking systems, and actively mentoring student athletes.
You will support crisp communication with parents, regional sports networks, and external moderation boards, ensuring that all physical assessment parameters, fixture registers, and safety checklists are processed with total accuracy. Strong administrative and organizational skills are crucial, as the role requires managing multiple team selection tracks, safety logs, and tournament brackets within a busy secondary school framework.
The school is looking for a proactive, reliable professional who can deconstruct complex biomechanical principles and training methodologies into crisp, engaging, and high-impact lessons. Strong communication, data literacy, and an energetic, collaborative spirit are important to thriving within this highly driven academic team.
School Information
This is an 11 to 18 well-established School in Solihull with an outstanding track record for academic progress, physical education literacy, and pupil welfare. The school serves an ambitious regional community and is highly regarded for its academic rigour and modern sporting facilities.
Students are exceptionally respectful, deeply motivated, and collaborative, maintaining a calm, purposeful, and focused atmosphere across both practical fields and theoretical classrooms. Staff enjoy a highly supportive professional culture, with visible leadership teams prioritizing manageable teacher workloads, shared best practice, and targeted opportunities for rapid career progression.
Requirements
A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a degree in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or a closely related discipline
Previous experience delivering GCSE PE, Cambridge Nationals, or A-Level Sport with a track record of strong results
Strong data literacy and IT skills, with complete confidence using digital learning tracking systems
Professional and proactive approach to monitoring pupil performance metrics and safeguarding compliance
Ability to work effectively and adaptably within a fast-paced, high-achieving faculty
