About us
At Rennie Grove Peace, we provide palliative and end of life care support within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire in four stages: Early Support, Living Well, Dying Well and Bereavement Support. Our patient services are available to adults and patients transitioning into adult services (16 to 25 years.) Bereavement support is offered for all ages to families of patients and those around them. We are proud to offer care in the place that best suits the individuals needs, whether at home, a care home, a short stay in our inpatient unit, in the community, or our Living Well Centre facilities. As a hospice care charity, we have offered this support, free of charge, for over 40 years. Our staff team of 340+ includes a wide range of patient-facing disciplines plus operational support based in Watford, Tring, St Albans, Chalfont St Giles and Berkhamsted. The Charity is one of the larger UK hospice charities, reaching a GP population of 797,037 of whom 75% live in Hertfordshire and 25% in Buckinghamshire. Looking after over 4,500 patients a year, as well as those around them, is a huge privilege, one we could not achieve without the incredible support of our 1600 strong volunteers. Our multidisciplinary team helps people to live well and receive support when they need it the most. We're here to help the whole family cope during the most difficult of times, early in diagnosis, during a patients illness and, if needed, when those around them are dealing with grief and bereavement.

  • Act as a role model demonstrating high standards of care and providing clinical leadership for colleagues.

  • Ensure all written and verbal communication is constructive, effective, accurate and appropriate.
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with community professionals, support services and members of other hospices and palliative care teams, providing clinical expertise, specialist advice and support as requested.
  • Demonstrate a research-based approach to nursing and participate in on-going Rennie Grove Peace research.
  • Identify risk and lead risk management involved in patient care and lone working, implementing learning outcomes from recorded incidents.
