Hygiene Operative

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hygiene Operative to join our team in a food production environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable and hardworking with experience of cleaning in an industrial environment where high standards are essential. You will be familiar with dealing with cleaning chemicals and be able to safely lift heavy objects, in the region of 10-15 kgs.

Afternoon/evening shifts, Monday to Friday, with no weekend working.
Carry out routine and scheduled cleaning activities across office, production, storage, and yard areas, ensuring all environments are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Ensure waste is collected, handled, segregated, and disposed of efficiently, including correct use of compactors, balers, and other waste-management equipment. · Maintain cleanliness of welfare areas such as canteens, toilets, locker rooms, and communal spaces. · Perform high-level, deep-clean, or specialised cleaning tasks as required.
Provide hygiene support to production areas as required, including preparation and dilution of cleaning chemicals, supplying PPE, and responding to hygiene-related requests during shifts.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in Hygiene or a similar role is essential.
• Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals
• Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
