Willow Grove is a beautiful, modern care home situated in Dungannon. Our spacious home has a team of talented, highly-skilled, professionals and provides person-centred residential care for older people, including those living with dementia.
The Willow Grove team are proud of their strong links with the local community, including with councillors and external healthcare practitioners, ensuring our residents have all that they need, whilst their health and wellbeing is well-tended to.

The facilities available within the home are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible, with the benefit of 24 hour care support provided around the clock by fully trained, kind and compassionate carers, delivering their services with the utmost dignity and respect.
Our sociable amenities, for residents to enjoy, include a variety of comfortable lounges and dining spaces.Plus , the private bedrooms are fully-furnished, all with en-suite facilities, and residents are able to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their room and make it their own space their home.
The Role
The Kitchen Assistants in our Homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, ensuring that residents receive high quality meals and dining experiences. The role is essential to the wellbeing of our residents through the provision of high-quality, person-centred dining experiences.
Working as part of the Kitchen team, reporting to the Chef the role is about a lot more than preparing and serving meals – the Kitchen Assistant will support with ensuring the dietary needs of our residents are met in addition to contributing to a safe and positive working environment.
About The Role
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
- Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.

Required Criteria
- The Right to Work in the UK
- A good standard of both verbal and written English
- Previous catering, kitchen or food preparation experience
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment
