Mechanical Design Engineer

We currently have a vacancy open for a Mechanical Design Engineer  who is looking to develop their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role will be based at either of our Braintree or Birmingham offices , subject to business requirements the role may be eligible for hybrid working.

As a  Mechanical , you will be responsible for the delivery of mechanical engineering services for a range of projects. You will be providing technical expertise, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, whilst ensuring compliance within all relevant design standards and regulations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities Will Include:

• Deliver mechanical engineering solutions across projects from concept to completion
• Carry out condition and technical surveys of existing buildings and produce clear reports
• Prepare mechanical calculations, designs, drawings, and specifications
• Produce documentation and drawings for tender stages and assist in tender evaluations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure coordinated design delivery

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Relevant industry experience in building services / mechanical design
• Working towards or desire to achieve professional accreditation (e.g. CIBSE, IMechE or equivalent)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM/Revit and IES

This role requires you to have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and will be subject to a DBS Enhanced check.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
