The KS2 Department & Primary Framework
You will join a highly collaborative, successful Key Stage 2 faculty that treats primary learning as a rigorous academic and developmental discipline.
The department features contemporary, resource-rich learning spaces equipped with extensive reading libraries, practical mathematics manipulatives, and modern interactive digital learning tools.
Our curriculum explicitly prioritizes early mastery of advanced comprehension, structured writing, and numerical fluidity—ensuring students build deep cognitive structures across all core subjects.

Core Responsibilities
High-Challenge Primary Instruction: Planning and delivering rigorous KS2 lessons that challenge and engage students across the primary curriculum, ensuring all learners achieve top-tier academic progress.
Advanced Literacy & Numeracy: Developing students' ability to produce sophisticated, grammatically flawless prose, alongside training them to break down non-routine mathematical problems systematically.
Statutory Assessment Preparation: Preparing students effectively for statutory primary checkpoints and national assessments, utilizing regular data-driven monitoring to target learning gaps early.
Holistic Pastoral Care: Providing strong, consistent pastoral support, establishing a nurturing yet disciplined classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and highly motivated.
Parental & Multi-Agency Liaison: Maintaining clear, proactive, and professional communication with parents, guardians, and external educational specialists to support individual student development.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for an ambitious primary specialist who loves teaching and possesses the pedagogical skill to stretch and nurture inquisitive young minds. Your profile should include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background, with previous experience or dedicated training within a Key Stage 2 primary environment.
Track Record of Progress: Proven experience or a clear capacity to secure excellent progress outcomes in reading, writing, and mathematics tracking metrics, with a thorough understanding of the national primary curriculum.
Consistent Behaviour Management: The ability to implement school routines with warmth and rigor, maintaining a highly focused, positive, and safe classroom culture.
Collaborative Mindset: A reflective practitioner eager to contribute to shared resource pools, participate in peer professional development, and support faculty growth.
