Mechanical Project Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join their growing team, managing residential building services projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical building services , with proven experience managing projects within the residential sector . You will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage residential mechanical projects from pre–construction through to completion and handover.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and health & safety.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, variations, technical issues, and programme changes.
• Ensure mechanical works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, contracts, and relevant regulations.
• Attend site and progress meetings, providing regular updates to clients and senior management.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Essential experience in mechanical building services.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the residential construction sector .
• Strong knowledge of mechanical services and their installation within residential developments.
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, programmes, budgets, and project delivery.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem–solving abilities.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects to tight deadlines.
• Relevant construction or project management qualifications are desirable.
