Salary: £110-125 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school located in the Bootle area. This school is seeking a nuturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis from 1st September 2026.

This role will be based across KS1 and will involve small group work and general support. Experience with read, write inc and phonics interventions is desirable. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15am-4pm. Opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate.

Person Specification

Qualifications

* Level 2/3 teaching assistant or childcare qualification is essential.
* GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
* Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
* Experience with KS1 pupils is essential.
* Experience working with SEN pupils.
