We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Dispenser to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs name, a category B Prison located in London.

HMP Wormwood Scrubs is a busy male prison with a capacity for 1273 inmates. We are recruiting for an experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to support the pharmacy team. It will be beneficial if you have used ProScript and SystmOne.

Hours

Monday - Friday

0830 - 1630

30 minutes lunch break

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £29,837 per annum

What you'll be doing

As a Pharmacy Dispencer, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
• Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
• Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
• Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
• Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

Qualifications required

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
• Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
