The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Curriculum Transformation Team on a fixed term until 31 July 2028 at Newcastle University as we support the implementation of the Leading Edge Curriculum (LEC) and Education for Life 2030 + Strategy.
Newcastle University's Education for Life 2030+ Strategy is transforming how we design and deliver education, creating a future-focused, inclusive and research-intensive curriculum that prepares students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
As part of this transformation, we are implementing the Leading Edge Curriculum (LEC)across all taught programmes, representing one of the University's most significant curriculum change programmes. We are now looking for enthusiastic and collaborative Curriculum Design Advisers to join our growing Curriculum Transformation Team and play a central role in shaping the future of education at Newcastle.
Working in partnership with academic and professional services colleagues from across the University, you will facilitate programme-level curriculum redesign, helping academic teams translate strategic ambitions into coherent, engaging and future-focused curricula. Through workshops, curriculum design activities and expert advice, you will support programme teams to develop programmes that are academically rigorous, inclusive and aligned with the University's educational vision.
This is a highly collaborative role. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of disciplines, building strong relationships with colleagues, supporting institutional change, developing practical guidance and resources, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of our curriculum transformation approach.
Whether your background is in curriculum design, learning and teaching enhancement or educational development, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence educational practice at scale and make a lasting impact on the experience of both colleagues and students.
These posts are fixed term until 31 July 2028 and are suitable for blended working. For an informal discussion, please contact Michelle Black ( View email address on jobs.ncl.ac.uk ), Curriculum Transformation Manager.
