Senior PMO Manager (Client Secondment)

Location: Cambridgeshire Area 

Salary: Up to £70,000 + Package 

Working: 3 Days a week on Site.  2 days either working from home / London Office 

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior PMO Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering a major capital programme within a unique and historically significant environment. This is an exciting opportunity to establish and lead a Programme Management Office for a large-scale, multi-year development programme.

About the Role

You will be seconded into a high-profile client organisation, supporting a diverse and complex portfolio of projects at a historic site. The programme includes a wide range of developments such as new operational facilities, large-scale infrastructure works, and specialist buildings. With a total CapEx of approximately £200 million over four years, this role will be central to ensuring strong governance, consistency, and strategic oversight across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

Establish, develop, and lead the PMO function from the ground up

Implement robust programme governance, reporting, and controls

Provide strategic oversight across a varied portfolio of projects

Support senior stakeholders with clear, concise programme insights

Foster strong collaboration across project teams and stakeholders

Manage competing priorities and resolve challenges diplomatically

About You

Proven experience operating at Senior Project Manager / PMO Lead level

Strong PMO expertise, including setting up or transforming PMO functions

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Confident handling conflict with a balanced, diplomatic approach

A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and lead

Experience in complex, multi-project environments
