Voluntary Basis Doncaster, South Yorkshire Part-Time

We are looking for a Social Club Volunteer to help deliver engaging events and activity sessions for the people we support in Doncaster. Volunteering with Creative Support is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives while supporting our staff to provide high-quality, person-centred services.

Our Social Club takes place on the last Sunday of every month at the Doncaster Office, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment where the people we support can meet new people, develop friendships, and enjoy a variety of social activities. These include bingo, games, a tuck shop, and other themed social events. The Social Club provides valuable opportunities for people we support to build confidence and actively participate in their local community.

As a volunteer, you will work alongside staff to promote activities, encourage participation, and help create a positive and inclusive atmosphere. You will assist with planning sessions in advance, preparing any necessary materials or equipment, and leading activities in a way that ensures everyone can take part and enjoy the experience. If you have a few hours to spare on a regular basis and would like to make a meaningful impact in your community, we would love to hear from you.

This role will be based at our Doncaster Office

Volunteer Duties

– Consult with people we support to plan and organise engaging activities

– Prepare the space, setting up equipment and arranging tables and chairs as required

– Support and facilitate social club sessions, encouraging participation and meaningful engagement

– Ensure the area is tidied after activities, returning the space to normal

– Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members-

– Understand and work within Creative Support policies and procedures, respecting boundaries

– Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided

Hours: Last Sunday of Every Month
