Location: UK hybrid – predominantly remote, with occasional travel to UK offices. 
Start: October 2026
Duration: 12 months, with potential extension
Day Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Payroll and Reward IT Product Owner to oversee IT services supporting UK and Swiss Payroll and Reward processes, operations and change.

The role combines hands-on SAP Payroll expertise with product ownership, service leadership and stakeholder management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders on payroll and reward initiatives and help shape solutions across a complex, integrated HR technology environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong UK payroll experience, including configuration, legislation and HMRC compliance.

• Experience leading payroll delivery and teams within a large, complex organisation, ideally covering payroll, benefits, reward and HR systems.

• Proven product ownership or IT service leadership experience, including delivery oversight and BAU operations.

• Extensive experience with payroll technologies, particularly  SAP Payroll , ideally including SAP ECC6, S/4HANA and newer SAP payroll solutions.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience leading design discussions with senior stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience integrating  SAP SuccessFactors with payroll.

• Experience delivering payroll transformation and roadmap programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery activities for IT services supporting UK and Swiss payroll solutions, ensuring technical and legislative compliance.

• Ensure continued operation of benefits and pensions processes.

• Partner with business and technology teams to design, implement and test payroll and reward changes.

• Provide product and service leadership across BAU and change activity.
