BAND 6 ROTATIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPY POSTS
36 hours Permanent/Temporary,
The Acute Physiotherapy team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary are looking to recruit to the above fulltime posts. There are the possibility of full time and temporary posts.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in expanding their knowledge and experience of acute hospital working.
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is the main emergency and admitting hospital in Grampian and as such the successful candidates will get experience and exposure to a wide range of specialties and conditions. NHS Grampian has the first Major Trauma Centre operational in Scotland and we are the first recognised ECMO centre in Scotland.
Our inpatient acute rotations are offered in areas such as HDU, ITU, Acute Stroke, Neurosurgery, Medical specialities, Trauma, Frailty and several other regional specialist units. Rotating on an annual basis this is a fantastic opportunity to consolidate and expand skills and knowledge.
The successful candidate will be motivated, hardworking and willing to work in a fast paced and varied environment. Providing specialist physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning, working as part of an MDT is vital.
The Acute Physiotherapy team offer good CPD opportunities and support staff through supervision and appraisal. Many of our staff have additional roles within our department.
This post will contribute to our weekend and/or on call services. A full induction will be given if required. In addition this post may be required to work 5/7 in some rotations as part of changes to the Acute services as NHS Grampian physiotherapy team is proactively working towards services over 7 days.
