Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor (FLT) - Stockport - Full Time

People Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Dispatch Warehouse Supervisor (FLT) on behalf of our well-established client based in Stockport.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dispatch, warehouse or logistics professional looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing daily dispatch operations, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, efficiently and on time, whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, traceability and safety.
This is a hands-on supervisory position and will involve leading a small team whilst actively supporting day-to-day warehouse and dispatch activities.

Shifts:

* Monday to Friday
* 08:00 - 17:00

Annual Salary: £29,000 - £32,000

Key Responsibilities

As a Dispatch Warehouse Supervisor, your duties will include:

* Supervising and coordinating daily dispatch activities to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time
* Allocating work and monitoring team performance to achieve operational targets
* Communicating with Customer Services and Shipping teams regarding order priorities, transport requirements and dispatch schedules
* Providing updates on order status and changes as required
* Preparing and issuing pre-shipment documentation including delivery notes and consignment records
* Picking, packing, labelling and preparing orders for dispatch
* Ensuring all dangerous goods and shipping requirements are adhered to
* Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
* Producing batch tickets and relabelling finished goods when required
* Requesting and printing product labels, ensuring accuracy of product codes, lot numbers and descriptions
* Maintaining accurate stock control and ensuring stock rotation procedures are followed
* Handling walk-in customer collections professionally and efficiently
* Completing administrative and clerical duties to support operational activities
* Maintaining high housekeeping standards within the warehouse and dispatch areas
* Supporting performance management activities including coaching, training and performance reviews
* Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, Health & Safety and quality standards
* Leading by example and promoting a positive team culture

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Previous supervisory experience within a dispatch, warehouse or logistics environment
* A strong understanding of pick, pack and dispatch operations
* A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
* Experience loading and unloading vehicles safely
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
* Experience producing dispatch documentation and stock records
* The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
* A proactive and hands-on approach to work
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
