As part of this exciting development, we are recruiting a Family Hub Health Lead to join our newly designed Family Help Service.

This is a key role in driving forward improvements in the connection with the health system, providing expert health leadership, safeguarding advice and professional oversight to ensure that health information, clinical insight and the voice of health partners are fully integrated into Family Help support and safeguarding practice.

Main duties of the job
The Family Help Health Lead will provide operational leadership for health as part of the Family Help service, ensuring children and families receive timely, coordinated support. Working across health, social care, education, police, and community services. The post holder will embed health expertise within multi-discplinary teams, provide safeguarding advice, support early intervention, and to improve outcomes for children and families.

The South East London Integrated Care System (ICS) brings together the health and care partners that serve our vibrant and highly diverse populations resident in the London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Greenwich - our Places.Our partnership brings together six local authorities, over 200 general practices (operating within 35 Primary Care Networks), Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital NHS FT, King's College Hospital NHS FT, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, South London and the Maudsley Mental Health FT and Oxleas FT. Importantly, the ICS seeks to be connected to the communities we serve (circa 1.92m residents) and work with the widest possible range of community, voluntary and third sector groups and organisations in each borough. The reach of our NHS provider portfolios extends beyond the borders of the ICS, across London, the south of England and nationally for some services.

Education / Qualifications
Essential

• Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area

Skills and Abilities
Essential

• Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence for a senior audience
• Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
• Ability to apply advanced influencing and negotiation skills necessary to achieve successful outcomes, e.g. when working with senior managers and stakeholders
• Have an in-depth knowledge of how health impacts safeguarding and be able to articulate this clearly in safeguarding and child protection proceedings
• Experience of supporting the development and implementation of Family Help Assessments and plans, ensuring health needs are identified and addressed.
• Ability to develop and maintain networks of relationships that facilitate the achievement of individual and team objectives
• Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
• Provide clinical advice and guidance on health-related issues impacting children and families.
• Ability to prepare and produce concise and accurate communications for dissemination to a broad range of stakeholders as required
