Advanced Practitioner Level 1 / Team Lead Community Nutrition Support, Band 7

Job description

The post holder in conjunction with the Assistant Nutrition and Dietetics Manager will contribute to the provision, operational management and overall development of the Nutrition and Dietetic Service. The postholder will be the Clinical Lead in the specialist clinical area of Community Nutrition Support. The postholder will assist in implementing the objectives of the Dietetic Service and ensure the delivery of effective multidisciplinary working and the most efficient use of all resources. They will provide clear leadership and be responsible for the day to day management of all staff within the designated clinical area. To provide a high quality, evidence based nutritional service to patients referred to the advanced practitioner level 1/ team lead Community Nutrition Support. Responsibilities

  • To be the Clinical Dietetic lead in a specialist clinical area and undertake Team Leader responsibilities as designated by the Nutrition and Dietetics Manager.
  • Be part of the site team leader rota and undertake site leader responsibilities in the absence of the site lead.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in dietetics of which 3 years should be working at Band 6 or equivalent.
  • Post-graduate/Masters Level training in Nutrition support or willing to undertake same..

Desirable Skills

  • Member of PENG.

Further Information

Location: Knockbreda Health and Wellbeing Centre. Salary: £47,810 - £54,710 per annum, pro rata.
