Job Title: Contract Support Officer
Location: Manley House, Kestrel Way, Exeter, Devon, EX2 7LQ
Pay Rate: £15.46 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday
Contract Length: Temporary assignment until 31 March 2027 with the potential for extension
Working Pattern: Office-based with flexible working arrangements.
Training : Full on the Job training provided
Must live within 1 hour of Office location

Brook Street is recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for a Contract Support Officer based in Exeter.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual looking to gain valuable experience within a busy administrative and financial support environment.

The Role

As a Contract Support Officer, you will provide administrative and financial support to a busy team, helping to ensure contracts, payments and supplier processes are managed efficiently.

The role will also involve supporting and hosting hearings, ensuring meeting rooms and equipment are prepared and functioning correctly.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and payments for suppliers.
• Investigate financial anomalies and ensure timely payments.
• Upload contracts and manage financial administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Commercial Service Managers.
• Participate in incident response duties to support communities.
• Uploading contracts
• Centralised email drop box - allocated work packages/tasks

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working independently and using their own initiative.
• A flexible and reliable approach to work.
• Good numerical ability and confidence working with data.
• A willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Desirable Experience

While full training will be provided, experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

• Purchase orders.
• Invoice processing.
• Payment administration.
• Financial support
