DIRECT REPORTS: Contracted and Sessional Coaches only
CONTRACT: Full-time 35 hours any 6 of 7 days
JOB FUNCTION: To deliver safe, inclusive, high quality provision across the Football Projects & Post 16 programme and various important activity and to lead and support on the development of programmes this will include all activities but not limited to Glenalmond College.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To oversee, deliver and support the effective planning, execution and delivery of the football programme at Glenalmond College throughout the academic year.
- To fully integrate into School/College life when on site on and off the pitch. To lead and deliver on 35 hours of activity each week.
- To attend regular meetings at the school and to produce end of term reports on progress to share with both parties.
- To deliver on activity to support relationships with local youth football clubs other schools to further support the schools’ programme.
- To network and drive innovative ways in which to develop the area to create additional sporting opportunities to further enhance the wider Glenalmond College programme
- To lead, deliver and co-ordinate on various Football Projects throughout the year.
- To oversee and deliver safe, inclusive and high quality coaching activity across the Football Projects programmes, this will include, but not limited to CMT Learning/Nike soccer camps, SuperCamps, post 16 Football Programmes and all of the activity delivered at Cobham.
- To innovate and seek new business and networking opportunities to then implement across the area to enhance the delivery programme and support the school with promotional events and growth opportunities.
- To undertake any Football Development activities that maybe required in addition to the role.
- To lead on the induction and onboarding process for contracted and sessional coaches, which includes relevant training/CPD, mentoring opportunities, appropriate resources and quality assuring.
- To carry out duties relevant to legislation and the Clubs policies and procedures.
- To undertake any Club activities that maybe required in addition to the role.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
- To ensure the Glenalmond College programme agreements are renewed each time.
- The participant numbers on the school’s programme grow or where agreed with the School, sustain year on year.
- To be a positive role model and leader, creating a safe, positive, inclusive environment for young people and other participants to succeed and further develop.
- To ensure all available exit routes are made available for the programme students.
- To lead and support with other CFC Football Development Staff in mentoring and guiding contracted and sessional coaches in best practice and professionalism.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
- Minimum of the UEFA ‘B’ Licence.
- In date FA Safeguarding Children course & the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
Experience
- Coached and/or managed an 11 a side football team
- Worked within a High School or College setting
- Been involved in community/grass roots sports as a coach
- Worked as part of a team within a sporting environment.
Skills and Behaviours
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- A good ability to organise and motivate team members.
- Confident and outgoing personality.
- Able to support and improve staff members.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Risk aware and confident and competent in escalating information.
- Confident in presenting both in a classroom and on the pitches.
