A highly acclaimed Secondary Academy in Newcastle is seeking a professional and highly organised Economics Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their experienced Social Sciences team. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across Key Stages 4 and 5 and assist senior leaders, teaching staff, and wider academic teams. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of student-led finance forums, investor challenges, and corporate insight schemes.

You will also support communication with parents, students, and external professional bodies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.

The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to break down complex statistical and financial datasets clearly while working as part of a collaborative staff team. Good IT skills and confidence using spreadsheet databases and visual data trackers are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.
