Salary: Starts from £45.000 up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:30
Schedule: Monday to Friday + 2 Saturdays per month

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated Lorry Engineer / HGV Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established company that values professionalism, safety, and high-quality workmanship.
Our client is also happy to consider part-time applicants and can offer flexibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with all roadworthiness standards.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime and support operational demands.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience working on HGVs, lorries, trailers, or commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Good understanding of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence ( HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Licence is highly advantageous, as it allows engineers to road-test vehicles after repairs).
