A true independent Brighton-based accountancy practice with a portfolio that actually keeps you interested.
A long-established independent firm of chartered accountants in central Brighton is looking for an Accounts Senior. Around twenty people, directors on the floor, and a client base that spans retail, construction, property, healthcare and professional services.
The mix here is the selling point. Alongside the usual owner-managed company work there is charity, service charge and trust work, so you are not preparing the same set of accounts fifty times a year.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Corporation tax computations and returns alongside the accounts
- VAT work and review of bookkeeping prepared by the trainees
- Talking to clients directly rather than going through a manager
- Getting clients up and running on Xero
- Supporting on audit work if that interests you
