Ian Black Consulting has an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer, to become part of a team working on a variety of major projects throughout the UK. The post will offer the successful applicant an rewarding, challenging and varied workload with superb opportunities for advancement and development.

Ideally, you will be a highly motivated individual who can work and communicate effectively within a team setting. You will provide support to the engineering team within the office and will be willing to go the extra mile to ensure that work is delivered correctly, accurately and on time.

The applicant should:

• Work within the company CAD standards, procedures and document controls, providing support to the engineering team.
• Be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the design of all the common building materials and knowledge of robust details.
• Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an enthusiasm for team and self-development.
• Ideally be a Graduate with three or more years experience, working in a busy design office.
• Have the ability to produce accurate and well-presented designs, drawings or documents in accordance with briefings from senior engineering staff.
• Have knowledge and experience of all common building materials and details.
• Be conversant with engineering design software, AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Have ability to take ownership of own projects and undertaken co-ordination of design ad detailing.
