Opportunity for an Road Freight Coordinator / trainee to join a Global Freight Forwarder in Feltham.
Excellent Opportunity for someone to start a career in freight forwarding and European road freight Key Responsibilities• Co-ordinating European road freight imports and exports from booking through to final delivery.
• Liaising with customers, hauliers, overseas agents and suppliers to arrange collections, deliveries, and customs clearance.
• Preparing and checking shipping and transport documentation.
• Tracking shipments and proactively dealing with delays or issues, ensuring that customers are updated accordingly and in a timely manner.
• Assisting with, and learning how to complete, customs and transport documentation.
• Checking supplier and shipping invoices for accuracy.
• Assisting with quotations where required.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are completed correctly and entered on internal systems.
• Developing an understanding of European road freight, customs procedures and international logistics. Key Skills
• Highly organised and has excellent attention to detail.
• Keen to learn and develop a career within freight forwarding and logistics.
• Comfortable working in a busy environment and managing multiple tasks.
• Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues – written and verbally.
• Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• Proactive and reliable. Mon - Fri 0900 - 1730hrs
