Veterinary Surgeon - Surrey, UK
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready for your next challenge? We have an exciting full-time opportunity at a multiple award-winning site in South London/Surrey border
Position Details:
* Location: South London
* Rota: 40 Hour Week
* Weekends: 1 in 9 weekends (8-4 Saturday, 10-2 Sunday) and 1 in 9 Saturdays (8-4) with time off in lieu the following week
* No Out of Hours or Bank Holidays
* Salary: Up to £60,000 Depending on experience
* Mixture of both Surgical and Medical caseload Applicants must have: * At least 1-2 year of practice experience post-qualification
* Medical, imaging, and surgical skills
* Experience in a small animal practice
* Ability to work well within a team
* Focus on maintaining high levels of both patient and client care
* Warm, compassionate, self-motivated demeanour with a positive attitude Working Week: Shift patterns are variable to support a work-life balance, working a mixture of early and lates: * 7:30-15:30PM
* 8AM-16:00PM
* 10AM-20:00PM Consulting appointments are 15 minutes long, and our out-of-hours service is managed by another site. About : Onsite you will be welcomed by a fantastic and highly experienced team which includes. * 10 vets (6 with post-graduate certificates)
* 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) and 3 Student Veterinary Nurses
* 4 Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs)
* A dedicated Client Care team of 9 and a Practice Manager Benefits: * 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays + Birthday Leave
* RCVS & VDS fees paid
* External CPD funded
* Extensive free online CPD program Duties and Responsibilities: As a Veterinary Surgeon you will be responsible for a range of duties to ensure the health and well-being of our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include: * Conducting thorough examinations and consultations for various animal species, including dogs, cats, and small mammals
* Diagnosing and treating medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries
* Performing surgical procedures with precision and care
* Prescribing medications and treatment plans for animals in need
* Interacting compassionately with pet owners, providing guidance and education on animal care and welfare
* Collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and incorporating best practices into daily routines
