KPI Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded and inclusive secondary school in Leeds to recruit several Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2026 . This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who want to develop their classroom skills, build confidence working with young people, and gain valuable insight into life within a secondary school.

Key Details

• Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm, term-time only
• Earn up to £560 per week
• September 2026 start , running throughout the academic year until July 2027
• Strong potential for the role to continue beyond July 2027 or lead into further career progression
• Based at a well-connected Leeds secondary school with convenient public transport links to the city centre
• Full-time opportunity offering consistent, hands-on experience within a secondary classroom environment

What You'll Do

• Provide targeted in-class support, helping pupils stay engaged, confident, and focused on their learning
• Deliver small-group interventions and provide 1:1 academic and pastoral support where required
• Work across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, Humanities, and other curriculum areas
• Support pupils who may need additional encouragement, guidance, or help overcoming barriers to learning
• Build positive relationships with students and become a trusted member of the wider school team
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Gain valuable insight into different teaching approaches, classroom management strategies, and pupil development
• Access clear progression opportunities, including in-house Teacher Training routes from September 2027

What We're Looking For

• A 2:1 degree or higher in a core subject or related discipline
• A genuine enthusiasm for education and a desire to support young people to reach their potential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting students with different learning needs
• Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential
• Graduates who are motivated to learn, develop, and potentially progress into teaching are particularly encouraged to apply
