Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Perinatal Health Visitor to work 3 days (22.5 hours) covering 3 counties and in the Perinatal Team based at Ty Myddfai in Carmarthen. Our Health Board is at the forefront of delivering this innovative, preventative service, by fully integrating Perinatal Service provision within our routine antenatal services, offering all Specialist assessments in antenatal departments to normalise Perinatal Mental Health in our local communities. Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an experienced Health Visitor who has experience of working with either child, adult or maternal mental health. The successful candidate will join a passionate, dynamic and creative team, who are focused on ensuring a more secure start in life, for all children, building resilience, which leads to a brighter future. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development of programmes of care and the implementation and evaluation of these programmes of care along with undertaking interventions. The post holder is required to work without direct supervision. The post holder will have effective communication skills and develop positive working relationships between all healthcare professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies. Maintaining good communication across all boundaries.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. • Educated to Master's level or equivalent experience
• Mentorship qualification

Desirable

• Additional post graduate qualification in Perinatal Mental Health education

Experience
Essential

• Health Visiting clinical experience post registration
• Experience of leading change
• Experience of delivering teaching to students or groups
• Understanding and knowledge of current issues in health visiting and NHS
• Specialist knowledge and experience in maternal/ paternal and infant mental health, developed through training and practice
• Clear understanding of Perinatal Mental Health & Safeguarding guidance, policies and procedures
• Implementation of audit / research recommendations
• Recent evidence of self development
• Knowledge of and contribution to clinical governance framework
• Experience of multiagency working
