Cook/Chef

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cook/Chef to join a busy catering team on a temporary, ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of meals to a high standard, whilst maintaining excellent food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards.

 In the Cook/Chef role, you will be:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a high standard
• Following menus, recipes and portion control requirements
• Ensuring food is prepared and stored in line with food safety regulations
• Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment
• Supporting with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste
• Working effectively as part of a busy catering team
• Supporting catering requirements for events and other activities when required

To be considered for the role Cook/Chef role, you will need:

• Experience preparing and cooking a variety of meals
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety
• The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, organised and flexible approach
• High standards of cleanliness and food quality

This is a temporary, ongoing position, working Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week on a rota basis. Shifts will fall between 7:00am and 7:00pm, with two late shifts per week.The role is offering a payrate of £13.00 per hour + holiday pay.
