R oles that require PVG Membership
Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023 , where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership . This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above . (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 10 and above (currently £30,030 per annum / £16.50 per hour)
The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members , and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.
Job purpose/about the role
To manage, supervise and develop school financial and administrative support services in accordance with corporate and school procedures .
This is a fixed term post not exceeding 12 months to cover a maternity post
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
- Standard Grade/National 4 (or equivalent qualification) in English and Mathematics or experience of financial and administrative processes in an office environment
The postholder is able to demonstrate:
- Supervising a busy office
- Experience of Microsoft packages including word and excel
- High level of competency in IT
- Good financial literacy
- Management, monitoring and operating financial systems
- Being responsible for the safekeeping, accuracy and appropriate processing a variety of information, which is often of a sensitive and multi-agency nature
