DT Teacher - Nottinghamshire - January 2026
Are you a creative and driven Design & Technology Teacher looking to begin your teaching career in a supportive school? A thriving secondary school in Nottinghamshire is recruiting a DT Teacher to join their ambitious Design & Technology department from January 2026 .
About the Role:
This full-time, permanent position will involve delivering DT lessons across KS3–4. You will be responsible for creating exciting schemes of work, teaching practical and theory-based lessons, ensuring health and safety in the workshop and contributing to the wider DT curriculum.
About the School:
The school is known for strong pastoral systems, excellent behaviour and a collaborative team culture. Their DT department offers modern workshops, specialist machinery and excellent technician support. Staff benefit from ongoing training, strong mentoring and continuous professional development.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a DT, Engineering or related degree
• Holds QTS/PGCE or is finishing ECT training
• Can teach DT to KS3–KS4 confidently
• Brings creativity, enthusiasm and strong practical skills
• Works effectively within a collaborative DT faculty
