Night Porter

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Night Porter to join our hospitality team in Newquay. This part-time, permanent role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment during the night hours. The Night Porter will provide excellent customer service, maintain security, and assist with various tasks to enhance the guest experience, contributing to the overall success of our hotel.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures during night hours.
• Ensure the security and safety of the hotel premises and guests.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the reception area and common spaces.
• Assist with luggage handling and room service deliveries as needed.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Perform nightly audits and prepare reports for management.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; GCSEs or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer skills for handling reservations and reports.
• A friendly and approachable demeanour with a focus on guest satisfaction.
