Job Description: Bank Female Support Worker
Pay: £17.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting Female Support Workers to support an individual with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and Anorexia Nervosa within the Egremont area. Understand that these diagnoses do not define the individual.

Role Description
We are committed to Equal Opportunities . We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Female Support Workers to work with an individual who has Dissociative identity disorder and Anorexia Nervosa. The individual will be living on their own, so we are looking for Support Workers who can provide 360 wrap-around support that covers all aspects of her life throughout the day and night.
In addition, Support Workers with mental health experience are preferred , as well as those who like animals and are fit and able to walk in excess of 6 miles per day as part of the daily routine.
To be part of their team, we are looking for the following qualities from a team member:
- Provide support during both the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in daily life.
- Have a good understanding of Mental health and complexities that arise with it, an understanding of Anorexia Nervosa, and how these can impact daily living.
- Understanding of Dissociative identity disorder.
- Be a positive advocate for the individual.
- Be consistent – do what you say you will, and if you can’t, explain why.
- Be prepared to motivate in a supportive manner.
- Be patient, understanding, and encouraging on the difficult days.
- Have a fun and kind personality and encourage activities.
- Work together to solve issues and overcome day-to-day tasks.
- Come to work to “Get to know me”, as that is what is needed to provide meaningful support and guidance in all aspects of everyday living.
- Work as part of a team that delivers amazing person-centred care.
- Think outside the box and show creativity in your approach.
- Show kindness and understand the processing time it may take for information to be understood.
- Be able to deliver personal care requirements.
- Be able to have a laugh and a joke but also maintain clear standards and boundaries.
- Must be comfortable around animals as part of daily activities.
- Give the individual space and time and be respectful of their wishes
- Must be fit and able to walk in excess of 6 miles per day as part of the individual’s active lifestyle.

- £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their first shift.
